Nathan Follmer
I have been fishing for over 18 years now. My main target is Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass and Trout, but I will fish for anything that swims! You can find me fishing in any body of water in Central Pa, but my main fishing spots for bass are Walker Lake, Faylor Lake, the Juniata and Susquehanna Rivers, Raystown Lake and Coyler Lake. If I'm fishing for trout, you'll find me on Kish Creek, Honey Creek, Tea Creek or Penn's Creek.
Currently, I am an Ambassador for WFN (World Fishing Network) and I try my best to showcase our great fishery. I also work with many companies building their online and social media presence, some clients include Pete Maina, The Next Bite, Dave Lefebre and Strike Kings RageTail line. Outside of fishing I enjoy web development, graphic design/motion graphics, programming and photography. Feel free to check out my Team NuCanoe Page! Email: nathan@fishinginpa.com | Brandon Matthews
Brandon Matthews has been fly fishing for 16 years and has been tying flies for 14 year. He cut his teeth fishing small wild trout streams in Central Pennsylvania learning and refining his fly fishing techniques on some of the toughest fish in the area. He can be found casting a fly on several of the local fisheries whether it Penns Creek, Spring Creek, Honey Creek and Kish Creek or several of the area’s small local stream like Tea Creek, Strodes Run and Lickin Creek to just name a few. His forte is nymph fishing but he enjoys casting Dries and emergers to rising fish, swing Wets down and across or fishing North Country Spiders upstream.
For the past several years he’s been a production fly tier, tying hundreds of flies each year for several shops on the east coast and for several local fly fishermen. Brandon enjoys the difficulties in learning new tying techniques and the challenge of creating new patterns for specific streams and specific applications. Brandon’s an active member of Team Freestone, a competitive fly fishing team, and competes at local competitions. He also competes at USA Regional competitions, qualifying last year for the USA National Fly Fishing Championships, with his goal to make the USA Fly Fishing Team in the near future. Brandon enjoys teaching anything fly fishing or fly tying. He is committed to supplying everyone, through “The Fly Fishing Corner”, with the best equipment reviews, best technique instruction and the best flies for the local area. He’s strives to supply everyone with the information they need to be successful on the stream. If you have any questions, please feel free to comment at “The Fly Fishing Corner” or email him at brandon@fishinginpa.com. |
