Yes, I'm still alive! Just finished a quick Q&A/Review of my NuCanoe in the latest issue of Susquehanna Fishing Magazine. I get a lot of questions and comments while out on the water, so I figured it would be a good way to clear some things up. The NuCanoe is really a great boat and I hope you all get the chance to try one out and see why it is the ultimate fishing machine!

This tool is a great way to share fishing spots, reports, structure, ANY information about places to fish. I will make it a point from now on to share EVERY single fish I catch on this map and how it was caught (as long as I'm not fishing in a spot that was shared with me by someone else. I won't give other's fishing spots away). I hope a lot of other people decide to do the same. This could really help new angler's that are struggling with fishing and help keep them hooked on the sport. I'd like to send the people behind this site a big thanks and also send a thanks to J Francho over on Bass Resource for posting this link!

Fairly boring video (it's a lot more fun to watch in person!), but it's progress! This is the lipless crank design being cut:

I've been using Moaner Hooks for a little while now. I heard about them from Big-O and a few others over on Bass Resource and thought I'd give them a try. I'm very impressed with them and would highly recommend everyone check them out. As an added bonus, which I just figured out once I joined the Rage Talk Forums :), they are made right here in Pa, so it's always good to give your money to a local business.

Moaner uses Mustad Ultrapoint hooks and they stay very sharp, even after being pulled through rocks and wood. I like to use their 'Stroker Hooks' (weighted and unweighted) on swimbaits and creature baits. Next time the Texas rig just isn't producing for you, try using a creature bait on a weighted swimbait hook. The horizontal fall this hook gives you can be all the change the fish need to bite. The Rage Craw and a weighted Stroker hook has been my go to bait for this season, especially on the largemouth!
